Lisa N. Ellis

Before joining Ellis, Li & McKinstry, Lisa was a Law Clerk to the Hon. Robert H. Whaley, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington and Attorney Advisor under the Honor Program for the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Lisa is committed to helping non-profit organizations, corporations, small companies and individuals. She assists clients with PERM labor certifications, employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas, border issues, naturalization/citizenship applications, and consular processing matters. Her practice includes visa eligibility analysis, case preparation, strategy development, client advice, corporate compliance, and I-9 issues. She performs an increasing amount of out-bound immigration work globally. Lisa also assists non-U.S. citizen clients avoid immigration consequences, obtain post-conviction relief, and file appeals.

Professional and Community Involvement

Lisa served on the Executive Committee of the Washington AILA chapter. She regularly volunteers at the Bilingual/Immigration Clinic sponsored by King County Bar Association. A Seattle-area native, Lisa enjoys traveling, skiing, and practicing Spanish.
