Kenzie joined ELM in 2020 after graduating with both an LL.M. and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. She is starting her career off gaining experience in both transactional and litigation matters.

Kenzie brings with her a variety of experience in the nonprofit realm, both personally and professionally. Growing up, she spent the first 10 years of her childhood in Poland as a missionary kid, pastor’s kid, and third-culture kid which gave her the unique perspective and a profound sense of empathy with which she now approaches her work and clients. Professionally, she draws on diverse experiences in the nonprofit world to serve her clients – both corporate and nonprofit – well. Her past experiences range from involvement with the Attorney General’s Office of Washington, Landesa, the Smithsonian Institute, World Relief, and most recently, the Allen Institute.

Professional and Community Involvement

After moving to Seattle in 2017, Kenzie fell in love with the city and got involved in a variety of ways. She served on the Board of Directors of the Public Interest Law Association and was the Executive Online Editor for the Washington Law Review. She also did extensive work with the International Human Rights Clinic (now Global Rights Advocacy), working with victims of human rights abuses such as arbitrary detention, inhumane conditions, and international hostages to seek justice and reparations. Kenzie has also worked with diverse local nonprofit clients through the Nonprofit Law Clinic to help them overcome various legal challenges and hurdles.

In addition to extensive public interest legal work, Kenzie also serves as a member of the leadership team for the Stable, a grassroots faith-based collective of young adults founded in Seattle.

When not working, Kenzie enjoys learning new languages, traveling, baking, playing piano, riding horses, and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
