Alexis J. Laginess

Lexi joined ELM after completing her J.D. at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Her work focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and general business transactions.

During law school, Lexi worked with the Wills and Advanced Directives Program with the Indiana University General Counsel’s Office to draft simple wills for university employees and students.

Lexi’s experience includes work in the nonprofit space, focusing on fundraising and program development. She provides a unique perspective on charitable planning by understanding the impact it has on nonprofit organizations. She has experience with Community Foundations, Family Foundations (including the National Center for Family Philanthropy), and Higher Education.

Lexi grew up in the Midwest.  She was raised in Michigan and then spent her seven years in higher education in Indiana. (Go Hoosiers!) Lexi is an active member of her church, a portrait photographer, and a musician.
